Hey, I’m Kat Sorensen
I used to wake up every day gripped by shame, stuck in a cycle I couldn’t break. Addiction ruled everything. But I made the decision to fight for my life. Now, over nine years sober, I’ve helped thousands of others do the same.
I’m not here to throw slogans or platitudes at you. I’m here because I was once in your shoes and I know the pain and the lies your mind tells you. I also know what’s waiting for you on the other side if you choose to take just one small step.
Since getting sober, I’ve built multiple recovery centres, including Laguna Shores Recovery, OC Detox, Laguna Shores Mental Health, and the Wisconsin Recovery Institute. I’ve created an online sober community called Chains to Changed, and I’ve launched The Sobriety Journal, a tool to help people like you rebuild one day at a time.
If you’re ready to change, I’m here to walk the journey with you.

A Tool for Rebuilding Your Life
The Sobriety Journal
I created The Sobriety Journal because I needed something like it in my early days, something that wasn’t fluffy or preachy, but practical, intentional and honest.
This isn’t a diary. It’s a structured daily system designed to keep your mind focused, your goals in front of you, and your spirit grounded. Reflection, progress tracking, gratitude, truth-telling, every page is a step forward.
If you’re ready to stay sober and build something real, this is for you.
Daily Reflection and Accountability
Each day, record what you’re grateful for, strategies to stay sober, and three personalized goals—physical, mental, and spiritual—to keep you focused and motivated.
Tools That Meet You Where You Are
Every seven days, review three lessons learned, identify what you’re most grateful for, note positive changes in your life, and set goals and priorities for the upcoming week.
Annual Goal Setting
Define up to four long-term goals with actionable steps, plus answer reflective questions like “Am I living the life I want to live?” and “What stresses me out?” to guide your broader journey.
High-Quality Design
205 acid-free pages in a portable A5 size, with a discreet, durable cover for private use anywhere, anytime.

Where Real Recovery Lives
Chains to Changed
This is not a Facebook group. It’s not a course. It’s a community for people who are serious about transformation.
Chains to Changed is where hundreds of people show up daily for accountability, guidance, and connection. You’ll get direct access to the support system I wish I had when I started—because willpower alone isn’t enough. Inside, we do real work: mindset shifts, routine changes, habit building, and radical honesty.
Whether you’re day one, day one-hundred, or starting over again, you are welcome here.
Changed to Change was the first space where I could be real without judgment. That saved me.
